Blackpool’s newest hotel has opened its doors to customers boasting impressive views over North Pier.
The new £7.1m Blackpool North Premier Inn on Talbot Road opened on Monday with customer capacity being expanded each day.
The opening of the hotel comes more than 12 years after Yates’ Wine Lodge was destroyed in a fire at the site.
The hotel also features a new Cookhouse + Pub restaurant

The hotel is on the site of the former Yates, which was destroyed in a fire in the early hours of Valentine’s Day in 2009
The site was empty and dormant for years, leaving a gaping hole on the corner of Talbot Road and Clifton Street.
Blackpool Tower artwork can be seen in the reception of the hotel
There are also lots of references and pictures of Blackpool
Hand santisers are also positioned throughout the hotel
Premier Inn said it is expecting a busy summer ahead in the hotel and restaurant
42 people are employed at the hotel
Following the blaze destroying Yates, the old building was torn down and in 2012, a TGI Fridays eatery and Asian restaurant Cosmo was proposed alongside a Tesco before those plans fell through.
Planning permission was secured in 2015 for the six storey building and in 2018 Barnfield Construction started on the Premier Inn
The hotel overlooks North Pier with impressive views of the Irish Sea
