Visitors are being encouraged to “make a day of it” and use the airport’s new summer weekend Park and Ride service to get a close up view

The Red Arrows are set to fly over Blackpool this weekend as they set off for their display at the Isle of Man Airshow which takes place on September 4.

The spectacular set off will see the Reds arrive and depart from Blackpool Airport on Saturday (August 28).

For those of us hoping to catch a glimpse of the aircrafts after missing out on the Blackpool Air Show, here are the arrival and departure times for this bank holiday weekend:

The Reds will be at Blackpool Airport on Saturday, August 28.

  • Morning arrival time: 11.30am
  • Morning depature time: 14:12pm
  • Afternoon arrival time: 15.00pm
  • Afternoon departure time: 17.30pm

The Red Arrows are currently based at RAF Scampton which will be closed by 2022 and see the Red Arrows relocated to another RAF base.

Blackpool Airport have encouraged those hoping to see the Red Arrows depart to “make a day of it” and use the airport’s new summer weekend Park and Ride service to get a close up view.

Visitors can enjoy all day parking for £15 per car which includes free unlimited travel on all Blackpool buses and trams.
