Walk On The Wild Side – Catch Up TV

Bond Street in South Shore Blackpool was once a thriving shopping Street. The section between the junction with Waterloo Road and Station Road used to have quite a few very popular shops in Blackpool, most notably Melody House, which was probably the most well known music shop in all of Blackpool back in the early eighties. Bond Street has been in decline for around 30 years. The closure of the Woolworths store back in January 1994 signalled the beginning of the end for this once great high street. These days, Bond Street is a sad reflection of what it once was, and has now earned a nickname as The Street of Shutters.
