Blackpool is set for some major roadworks between next week and early June as part of general improvement to the resort’s highways.

Workers from Blackpool Council will be undertaking three improvement schemes, two of which are in Bispham and one in Common Edge.

The council says that ‘new innovative technology’ in the resurfacing works will see pollution levels drop across the seaside town.

A spokesperson for Blackpool Council said: “A programme of resurfacing works to improve roads around Blackpool that are in a poor condition, are planned over the coming months.

“New innovative technology and materials will help to preserve the surface of the roads and help to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the town.”
