SIX the Tudor musical about Henry VIII’s wives coming to Blackpool in 2022

The award-winning show will arrive in Blackpool as part of the UK-wide tour in in August and September, 2022

It will be case of divorced! beheaded! live! When SIX: The Musical arrives in Blackpool for a five-day stint next year.

The production, which tell the stories of Henry VIII’s six wives with 21st century style and sass, will show at the Opera House from Tuesday, August 30 to Saturday, September 3, 2022.

The cast of Tudor queens is yet to be confirmed but it has been revealed that co-writer Lucy Moss, who wrote SIX with Toby Marlow ahead of its original opening at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2017, will direct the tour production, alongside Jamie Armitage.

SIX has gone on to take up a residency in the West End and opened in Broadway in 2021, after the pandemic delayed the original run set to begin in March 2020. It first toured the UK in 2018, including a Blackpool leg.

Tickets start at £20 and pre-sale is open to Winter Gardens Blackpool members from 11am on Thursday, December 16, 2021, with general sale open from 11am on Friday, December 17.
