The Official Annual Blackpool Pier to Pier supported by Blackpool Council will take place on Saturday 9th September 2023 with Sunday 10th September being an alternative should the weather be inclement.

If you want a fun challenge then join this amazing and iconic Open Water Swim between the three piers, swimming from North to South Pier in Blackpool’s seaside holiday resort.

This swim is a MUST to do for all open water swimmers aged 18 and over. There is also a non-wetsuit category for those seasoned open water swimmers preferring to feel the cool water of the sea against their skin.

The event is run by Get Set 4 Success Ltd who brought back this swim to town in 2018.

The Team are proud of the inclusivity of this event with swimmers of all ages and abilities coming back year after year to participate.

Safety cover is provided by the highly experienced Blackpool Beach Patrol Team. Swimmers get a complimentary tram ride from South Beach to the start at North Pier.

The 1.6 mile swim to the finish takes in the breath-catching sights of the Golden Mile with Blackpool Tower and other attractions including Blackpool’s famous Pleasure Beach at the finish.

All participating swimmers receive a fabulous bespoke memento of the occasion along with a t-shirt with a commissioned artist impression on the front and a swim cap to commemorate taking part.

Places are limited to the first 120 swimmers.
